The procedure typically takes about ten minutes per eye, uses numbing drops rather than needles or general anesthesia, and most patients describe it as far easier than they feared: mild pressure, a light show of colors, and then it's over.

About ten minutes per eye. Plan on roughly two hours at the surgery center for check-in, preparation, and a short recovery period. Eyes are typically done one at a time, about one to two weeks apart.
